Children, Adolescents & Families

Integrative Educational Therapy

An educational approach that addresses the challenges today's children face while nurturing the multidimensional capacities they have to share

Welcome

Every child deserves to realize their true potential.

Many of our newer generations possess different forms of attention, learning, and processing. Many are highly aware, intellectually gifted, and intuitive. They may resist conformity not out of defiance, but because they sense — even without the language to explain it — that something about the reality they are being asked to fit into simply doesn't feel right.

For parents and families, this creates a particular kind of exhaustion. The strategies that seemed to work for previous generations often don't work with these children. The approaches recommended by schools and professionals may bring partial relief — but rarely reach the root of what is happening.

For children and adolescents, this creates a sense of feeling misunderstood or unsafe to be their true self. What our children need most is not to be fixed. They need to be understood — by the adults around them, by the systems meant to serve them, and perhaps most importantly, by themselves.

With over thirty years of experience working with neurodivergent and energetically-sensitive children and families, Kim provides a depth of understanding around the capacities today’s generation possess and the challenges they face — addressing the unique needs of every child and family.

Something has shifted. Parents and teachers can feel it — and understanding it, changes everything.

WHERE YOU MAY BE NOW WHERE WE ARE GOING TOGETHER
A child who seems to feel everything more deeply than their peers A child who understands their sensitivity as a profound strength
Behavioral or emotional challenges that don't respond to traditional approaches Approaches designed for how your child actually learns, processes, and experiences the world
School struggles that don't match what you know your child is capable of Advocacy and support that honors their true intelligence and capabilities
Diagnoses that explain some things, but not the whole picture A complete understanding of who your child truly is — beyond any label
A sense that your child sees the world differently — and that difference isn't being honored A family that celebrates what makes your child unique — and a child who finally feels seen

Approach

An education built around your child.

My goal is simple — to utilize education as a tool that honors the uniqueness of every child and supports them in reaching their full potential.

Every family begins with an intake meeting to explore your child and family’s needs — whether that means starting with your child, or with you, the parent. From there, an individualized plan is developed that is based on long-term well-being rather than short-term fixes.

Sessions are fully individualized and draw from a wealth of experience working with the unique needs and gifts of today's generation — meeting each child exactly where they are, and building from there.

The goal is not just a child who performs better in school, it is a child — and a family — who have found the clarity, connection, and joy they truly deserve.

The word education comes from the Latin educere — to draw forth. Not to fill up, fix, or conform, but to bring out the unique potential that already lives within every child.

Who This Is For
Does this sound like
your child?

Integrative Educational Therapy is designed for children and adolescents who are not yet being fully understood — or fully supported — by the environments around them.

Diagnosed with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, twice-exceptionality, processing differences, or autism

Highly sensitive, empathic, or intuitive — feeling everything deeply and struggling to understand why

Gifted, creative, or deeply passionate — with abilities that traditional schooling doesn't know how to nurture

Anxious, school-resistant, perfectionistic, or struggling with self-worth and confidence

Experiencing executive functioning, attention, or organizational challenges

Dysregulated, defiant, or overwhelmed — not because something is wrong, but because something hasn't yet been understood

High-achieving and driven — yet quietly exhausted, overwhelmed, and running on empty

Struggling with belonging — feeling different from peers in ways that are hard to name or explain

These children are not behind. They are not broken. They simply need to be understood differently — and supported to realize their true potential.

What Changes
What parents tell us
they notice.
Greater Confidence
& Self-Worth

Children begin to see themselves differently — not as less than or behind, but as capable, unique, and full of potential.

A Renewed Love
of Learning

When learning is built around who a child is, curiosity and motivation return naturally — without force or pressure.

Emotional Regulation
& Ease

Anxiety decreases, outbursts soften, and children develop real tools for understanding and managing their inner world.

A Sense of Purpose
& Direction

Children begin to trust themselves — to know who they are, what they value, and what they are here to contribute.
